Clinique médicale Fémina, established in 1988, is a well-known clinic offering abortion services during the first trimester of pregnancy. We also offer D&C for patients who have been diagnosed with an incomplete miscarriage. Our doctors are also available to help you choose the method of contraception that is right for you. Our clinic is recognized for its high standards of practice by the Collège des médecins du Québec. At Clinique médicale Fémina, you can choose between a surgical or medical abortion. The surgical abortion done in our clinic is performed by dilation, suction and curettage and lasts approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Thanks to medication used during the procedure, pain is minimal and often non-existent. In fact, most patients have no recollection of the surgical procedure. Medical abortion is performed with a medication called “Mifepristone” which stops the pregnancy, and Misoprostol which expels the pregnancy. It may take a few hours for the expulsion to be complete.

At the Clinique médicale Fémina we offer contraceptive services such as:

• Consultation to specify the method that suits you best.
• Insertion or removal of an IUD or contraceptive implant (Nexplanon®).

New service at the Clinique médicale Fémina to expand contraceptive options, we now offer vasectomy.

It is an effective, safe and rapid method of male contraception.
